I chose RareJob PH because of the work culture and environment that it has. My colleagues and my superiors helped me in making my decision to stay here because of the camaraderie we have as a team and as a department. The management is also supportive of its employees as they value their work-life balance.

Being in this line of work, how did the WFH setup affect your tasks and responsibilities and what do you think are the pros and cons?

As the WFH set up started last 2020, it gave me a different approach to how I work. At first, it was challenging for me as I was not accustomed to working alone at home and just using different online platforms as a way of communicating with my colleagues. But as time passed by, I was able to adapt to the new work setup we have adopted. I still feel blessed to be able to continue working at home even up to this time.

RJPH has been giving out Care Packages to the employees since March 2022. As the 3rd Care Package has been released, can you share with us some of the items that you were able to receive?

I got excited last March 2022 when RareJob started giving a care package to all its employees. I got different items that are useful for me and I was also able to share some of them with my family. When I received the 3rd RareJob PH Care Package, I still got excited as if it was the first time. I got different items this time, preparing ourselves for the summer season like sunscreen, an energy drink, a fan, a towel, and a bucket hat. Of course, our care package will not be complete without the snacks included in it. Some of the new items are different sizes of travel organizers and a cute RareJob shirt. Some items are the same but still useful for everyday use like facemasks, alcohol, and batteries.

As it’s officially summer in the Philippines, what are your plans to destress and relax from work?

Every summer our family goes to the beach to enjoy, destress, and relax from work. We went to Zambales a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed ourselves during the long holidays. The delivery of the care package was very timely as I was able to use items during our family trip.

As we mostly spend our time giving our best at work, how important is to take a break from time to time?

As most of our days are devoted to work, taking a break is important in recovering from work stress which can restore our energy and mental health as well. In turn, it can improve our overall productivity.

What are some tips that you can give so we can beat the heat in this summer season?

Summertime is also challenging for us and can affect our overall performance due to the hot weather. Drinking enough water is one of the ways to overcome heat stress. Working in a properly ventilated area, like using electric fans and open windows, is also one of the things that we need to consider. Using air conditioners is another way to beat the heat. Wearing comfortable clothes is also key to overcoming high temperatures. When going outside it is important to wear sunscreen to prevent different skin diseases.
