The company celebrates 10 years since its registration to the Securities and Exchange Commission back in 2008. To commemorate the milestone, RareJob Philippines held an event, called Dekada, which held a mini-exhibit, recognition of staff members celebrating their 10th year with RareJob, raffle draws, and a short program and party. It also included the publishing of a commemorative book, the launching of an anniversary video and corporate AVP, and the announcement of the new prize for the year’s Employee of the Year.

The mini-exhibit highlighted the turning points and accomplishments of the company starting from the fateful meeting of Tomohisa Kato and Shem Unida in 2007. It continued on from the milestones of registering to the Securities and Exchange Commission, acquiring thousands of more tutors, launching new materials, making new partners, and more.

The commemorative book, to be released later this year, will include stories of Rarejob Philippines’ founding, testimonies from current and previous staff, and vision and direction of each department.

To get staff excited for the company’s Year-End Party this December, the prize for the 2018 Employee of the Year and Professional Development Excellence awardee was also announced. The most outstanding employees for the last term will be granted a trip to Japan. This will allow the staff member to be immersed in the RareJob, Inc. office to better understand how operations in the Japan headquarters work

The celebration was also marked with the reunion and attendance of RareJob founders Tomohisa Kato and Gaku Nakamura sans Shem Unida and a few pioneer staff members.

Gaku-san gave a heartfelt thank you to each department in the Philippine office. Meanwhile, Kato-san punctuated his message by saying that he missed the familial feeling of being back in RareJob.

Upon seeing the larger number or RareJob staff, Kato-san also left a challenge to everyone saying,

Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to imagine something like this. I hope you accomplish something you can’t imagine, as well. To do that, you must change. Please don’t be afraid of changing.

Current RareJob Philippines Inc. CEO Shingo Inaba also challenged the staff with some inspirational words:
The 10th year anniversary is merely one milestone for us. We are going to proceed with realizing the vision and mission. But ask not only what the vision can do for you, but also what you can do for the vision.
